Eli,  wakes up at every dawn before the light, crosses the rices paddies in dead silence to use fill a water jar for the daily use of the tribe. Years back, strangers invaded in village the middle of the night to set them on fire, as a rich man wanted to ocupy the field for business. Surrounded by flames, she stood tall and brave inside of our, using her spirit  and courage to fight back those servants. For a second time, the Kaliga tribe lost all their belongings for a storm. Their community are from mixed tribes, but all Kalinga. They agreed to never vote for the corrput mayor and that costs them water and electricity. Eli lives in the dark. She walks every night outside in search for fresh water  The fear does not freeze the spirit, drives the survival. Eli, the power, the strenght, the courage.

Prior to the Spanish Conquest, the Andean textiles were already used to express the identity and the ancestral beliefs of the Inca civilization.

The textiles were produced using techniques that included weaving, dyeing, knotting, and plaiting.
